SETTING THE EXPECTATION and INTENTION
The purpose of my decision to incorporate blogs was and is to share any information, knowledge, or stories of all kinds that catch my attention and that I feel will benefit other people. I come across all sorts of fascinating or interesting information.
My curiosity is very broad, by the way, so not all blogs will be about business; some will interest you, some will not, some will apply to you, some will not; just skip those and scroll to the next one.
Sometimes, the information I share may be perplexing, confusing, frustrating, and so on. Yet, these blogs are designed to educate, inspire, uplift, make you think, open your mind, expand your awareness, add value, give pause, and so on.
The categories or topics will be across the board, anything I have learned from seminars, classes, books, stories, concepts, articles, videos, documentaries, movies, human journeys, human struggles, basically any kind of material I come across.
Broadening your viewpoint …
When you looked at the picture, were you able to see both images or just one at first? Most people can only see one image upon first glance, and the second can elude them. Our minds can distort what we see through our thoughts and beliefs. Taking off your blindfold is priceless.
The greatest gift a coach can give you is to: CHALLENGE YOUR BELIEFS, what you think you see, what you believe, as well as how you respond. More times than not, it is NOT what a coach can help or give you; it is what a coach can help you remove that is most valuable.
Keep in mind, PERCEPTION is always at play. How we see or perceive anything is a part of us and can alter how we Navigate Life, in combination with the consequences we face for the choices (consciously, subconsciously, or unconsciously) we make.
Awareness, open minded-ness, intentional thinking, being aware of what your internal dialogue is, is the key.
Most situations, circumstances have more than one viewpoint. Personally, I believe we should consider all the different viewpoints and information before arriving at a conclusion. Otherwise, we are NOT making a conscious decision, we are simply unconsciously reacting. Take control of yourself, your mind, look deeper into the information at hand, see the unseen, hear what is not being said, remember there is a difference between true and truth, and in many cases … actions speak louder than words.
No one questions when 1 + 1 is not equaling 2. We just know it is wrong. It is not adding up. However, when people say one thing, do another, there is something inside us that sends up a “red flag,” what that red flag means is different for each person. How we process it, what we do about it, how we handle it, how we react to it, the actions we take, whether those actions are conscious or unconscious, passive or directly, etc.
Today, most of us walk around very confused by what we see versus what we hear and the actions being taken. My goal, through these blogs, is to “maybe” bring some clarity to your world, give you AH-HA moments, put a smile on a face, possibly enlighten you and hopefully teach you something.
Until the next time. My warmest wishes
